The agreement between us.
These terms apply when you book a companion from Yadhan, or ask us to arrange one. Please read section 2 in particular — it sets out the one thing that most often needs saying twice: Yadhan is a non-medical companion service.
Last updated 2 October 2026.
Who these terms are with
In these terms, “Yadhan”, “we” and “us” mean [REGISTERED LEGAL NAME], having its registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. “You” means the person making the booking. “The guest” means the person a companion accompanies, who may be you or somebody you are booking for.
These terms form a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By confirming a booking you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not book.
What Yadhan is, and is not
Yadhan provides non-clinical companionship and practical assistance. A companion accompanies the guest from home to the hospital, helps with registration, queues and directions, stays with them through the appointment, assists with pharmacy and reports where asked, keeps you updated, and brings them home.
Yadhan is not a hospital, clinic, nursing home, diagnostic centre, ambulance service, pharmacy or medical provider of any kind. Our companions are not doctors, nurses or paramedics. They do not diagnose, prescribe, administer medicine, dress wounds, give injections, operate medical equipment, give medical, dietary or legal advice, or make any decision about the guest’s treatment.
Every clinical decision is between the guest, their family and their treating doctor. Nothing a companion says is medical advice, and nothing on this website should be relied on as medical advice.
Companions do not provide personal nursing care such as bathing, toileting or lifting, and will not physically lift a guest. Where a guest needs that level of help, you must arrange it separately and tell us before the visit.
Who can book
You must be 18 or over and legally able to enter a contract. If you are booking for someone else, you confirm that you have their knowledge and consent, or the lawful authority to arrange care on their behalf, and that you may share their information with us for that purpose.
We may decline or cancel a booking where we reasonably believe that consent or authority is absent.
Booking and confirmation
A request sent through this website, WhatsApp or the phone is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking exists only once a Yadhan coordinator confirms it to you with a date, a time and a fee.
We assign the companion. We will tell you who is coming before the visit. We may substitute a different companion where illness, travel or safety requires it, and will tell you when we do.
Timings are our honest estimate. Hospital queues, consultation overruns, traffic and weather are outside our control and may extend a visit.
What you agree to tell us
So that we can send the right companion and keep the guest safe, you agree to give us accurate information about the guest’s mobility, whether a wheelchair is needed, the language they are comfortable in, fasting requirements, and any condition that affects how they should be accompanied — including a tendency to confusion, disorientation or wandering.
If that information is wrong or withheld and a problem follows from it, we are not responsible for the consequences.
Fees, and what is not included
Fees are those shown on the Services and How it works pages at the time you book, and are confirmed to you before the visit. Fees are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Hospital charges are yours, not ours. Consultation fees, tests, scans, medicines, admission and any other charge raised by the hospital or pharmacy is payable by you or the guest directly. Yadhan’s fee covers the companion’s time and assistance only.
Transport is arranged as described at the time of booking. Where a pickup is outside a listed service area, a travel charge applies and is told to you before the visit is confirmed.
Money, medicines and documents
Companions do not handle the guest’s cash. Where a payment must be made at the hospital, it is made by you or the guest directly, or by an arrangement agreed with the coordinator in advance and recorded in writing.
A companion may collect prescribed medicines or reports when asked, and will photograph and send what they collect. They do not choose, substitute or advise on medicines.
Original documents and reports are handed back to the guest or to you. We ask that valuables are not sent with a companion.
If something goes wrong during a visit
If the guest becomes unwell, a companion will seek help from hospital staff immediately, call the emergency services where that is quicker, and tell you straight away. That is the limit of what a companion can and should do.
A companion will not make a treatment decision, consent to a procedure, or sign a hospital form on the guest’s behalf. Where a consent or a decision is needed, the hospital will deal with you or the guest directly.
Cancellation and refunds
If you cancel. Free of charge until four hours before the agreed pickup time — nothing is payable and anything already paid is returned in full. Inside four hours, 30% of the visit fee is payable, because a companion has by then been assigned and has turned down other work for that slot.
If the hospital cancels or reschedules. You pay nothing, whenever we are told. Tell us as soon as you know and we will move the visit to the new date at no charge.
If we cancel. For any reason other than your or the guest’s conduct, you pay nothing and anything already paid is refunded in full. Where we can, we will offer a replacement companion first.
If nobody is there at pickup. If the companion cannot reach you or the guest within 30 minutes of the agreed time, the visit is treated as a late cancellation and the 30% applies. The companion will call you before that time is up.
If a visit is cut short. If the guest decides to go home early, or the hospital sends them away, the full visit fee stands — the companion’s time was held for you. If we end the visit for our own reasons, you pay only for the time used.
How to cancel
Message or call the desk on +91 79044 40224, or write to care@yadhan.com. A cancellation takes effect when we acknowledge it, so please use WhatsApp or the phone rather than email if you are close to the four-hour mark.
How a refund is paid
Refunds go back to the method you paid with, normally within seven working days of the cancellation being acknowledged. Where your bank takes longer, we will tell you the reference so you can follow it up. We do not charge a fee for processing a refund.
Hospital charges, tests, medicines and cab fare already spent on your behalf are not refundable, since that money has gone to the hospital or the pharmacy rather than to us. Receipts for everything spent are sent to you either way.
Conduct, and when we may stop a visit
Our companions are entitled to a safe and respectful visit. We may end a visit, and decline future bookings, where a companion faces abuse, harassment, discrimination, intoxication, an unsafe environment, or is asked to do something outside the scope of this service or contrary to law.
Where a visit is ended for those reasons, the fee remains payable.
Our responsibility, and its limits
We will carry out the service with reasonable care and skill. We take the selection and conduct of our companions seriously, and we are responsible for our own negligence.
We are not responsible for the medical outcome of any appointment, for the acts, omissions, errors or delays of a hospital, doctor, laboratory, pharmacy or any other third party, or for a delay or failure caused by something beyond our reasonable control — including traffic, weather, strikes, civil disturbance, power or network failure, a public health restriction, or an act of government.
Except where Indian law does not permit a limit, and in particular where liability arises from death or personal injury caused by our negligence or from fraud, our total liability for any one visit is limited to the fee paid for that visit. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of earnings.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Yadhan against any claim, loss or expense arising from information you gave us that was untrue or incomplete, from your breach of these terms, or from a third party claiming that you lacked the authority to arrange this service for the guest.
Your information
We handle personal information as described in our privacy notice, and in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We collect what we need to arrange and carry out the visit, and we do not sell it.
Where you give us information about the guest, you confirm you are entitled to share it with us for this purpose.
Changes
We may change these terms. The version published on this page when you make a booking is the version that applies to that booking. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service, including service areas and fees, with notice where it affects a booking already confirmed.
Complaints, and the law that applies
If something is wrong, tell us first and we will try to put it right. Write to care@yadhan.com or call +91 79044 40224. Our grievance officer, appointed under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, is [NAME, DESIGNATION, EMAIL], who will acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and seek to resolve it within one month.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer forum where the law allows.
Ask before you book.
If any of this is unclear, or you want to check whether we can help with a particular situation, ask. A person answers, and there is no charge for the conversation.
